Networking SDET

Our small, high-performance team is looking for a talented Software Engineer in Test (SDET). We’re seeking a hard-working individual who can think critically in a highly collaborative environment to improve our product and help take Mylio to the next level.

What do we seek?

We are looking for a SDET with strong testing and network testing skills to implement testing frameworks and libraries needed for our automation. We are looking for someone familiar with testing applications that span desktop and mobile devices as well as various operating systems such as iOS, OSX, Android, and Windows. The ideal candidate will be familiar with advanced test strategies to use equivalence classes to reduce a huge test matrix while sustaining high test coverage. We seek a candidate that can function well with ambiguity, drive for results, and has a high degree of customer/user focus. We use our application daily to make sure our customers do not encounter blocking issues.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

  • Strong expertise in a modern programming language (Python, Java, C++/C/C#)
  • Working proficiency with Groovy, Lua, network/communication protocols experience
  • Extensive knowledge of developing and implementing network test plans, protocols, and strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of switching and routing protocols
  • Experience in setting up and configuring test networks for more complex scenarios such as captive portals, IP V6, and multicasting across routers
  • Experience in simulating real-world network conditions in a lab environment, such as DNS and Web Server outages, blocked ports, packet loss, high latency, and low bandwidth.
  • Familiar with network security, networking communication systems, application layer, and network services
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex networking issues
  • Skilled in providing support in various networking testing activities
  • Familiarity with network inspection tools like Wireshark.
  • Experience with relational databases (SQLite, PostgreSQL, or MySQL), all of which are a big plus.

Senior Software Development Engineer

We are a flat, nimble, and action-oriented company that was founded by longtime Microsoft CTO, David Vaskevitch, back in 2012. We’re located in Bellevue, WA. We’re looking for a few smart, hard-working people who have the ability and desire to work on a product with significant impact.

We seek Greater Seattle-based senior-level technical talent, aka “top of their game” Software Developer to join us. We are looking for senior-level C++ developers, 7+ years, and those that have worked on multiple platforms (Windows, Android, Mac OS, and iOS). Strong application development experience is a must. You’ll work on the image processor, core engine, overall architecture, and performance. Technical leadership, interest/skills in mesh networking, replication, facial recognition, and performance all a plus! An ideal candidate will also have a passion for diving into deep technical challenges and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty in the process.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on code for image processing and editing
  • Write high-quality code, participate in code reviews, design systems of varying complexity and scope.
  • Configure, monitor, test, and modify system software and utilities to optimize the performance of systems.
  • Deliver project milestones and tasks assigned communicating progress regularly.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with image formats such as TIFF
  • Familiarity with ISO BMFF format
  • Understanding of color management and color theory
  • Experience with writing image filters
  • Experience with hex editors
  • Minimum 7+ years experience in C++, of which the majority is using C++ 14 and later
  • Experience in shipping the same code on multiple platforms, or have experience with writing to standard C++ and POSIX API’s as opposed to platform-specific API's
  • Experience in shipping client software (not enterprise or web)

We’re looking for a passionate and talented Product Designer who has the ability and desire to work on a product and make a significant impact.

As a Product Designer, you will ensure our product and features are valuable to people, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, branding, engineers, researchers, content writers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions and build concise user-centric visions and journey
  • Be a driver in product strategy and innovation to solve the most complex problems we’re tackling across the company, turning them into something useful and valuable for our users
  • Design leading-edge concepts from end-to-end and create new interactive product prototypes you can test and refine with users
  • Play an active role in communicating strategic decisions around the future direction of our product
  • Practice and evangelize UX best practices, UI Heuristics, and Design Systems
  • Proactively solicit and provide feedback on all product designs from team members, while also taking on mentorship and coaching opportunities
  • Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS) or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing and shipping applications or software at a company level, leading the end-to-end experience within ambiguous domains
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating a breadth of visual, interaction, and product design skills
  • Interaction Design experience defining and evangelizing how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs, plus example of using the appropriate prototyping tools to demonstrate how a particular interaction will work
  • Visual Design experience with a novel grasp of leveraging typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography, and aesthetic sense and how these elements impact product function
  • Demonstrable track record in leading strategic thinking across a product space, developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on the impact on people and the company
  • Experience representing work to management, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts, and selling the UX value proposition to those not familiar with UX.

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with branding, style guides, mood boards, style tiles, personas, etc.
  • Experience showcasing your end-to-end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Demonstrable examples of leadership in non-product dimensions that have made a team stronger and positively impacted the work environment
