Understanding Show TPO

Show TPO is a quick and easy way to view and change Sync Policies for the device you are currently using without using the Sync panel.

In using Show TPO, each photo and folder will have its Sync Policy displayed directly on the media. You can easily change the Sync Policy for that selected media by simply selecting the displayed Sync Policy.

You can continue to manage Sync Policies for devices that are not currently using by utilizing the Sync panel. For more information on adjusting Sync Policies for devices you are not currently using, see this article.

Enabling Show TPO

  1. Open Mylio.
  2. Select the View menu in the top right of the center panel.
  3. Toggle on Show TPO.

Once enabled, you will see a T, P, O or * in the top right of your photos and folders.

It is important to note that you cannot adjust the Sync Policy of devices that you are not currently using Show TPO. For this functionality, please see this article.

With Show TPO enabled, each photo and folder of photos will have one of four icons in the top right corner. These icons will be…

The Show TPO icons display the quality of photo that is currently on that device. If a Sync Policy has been changed but not yet fulfilled, the icon will display with an orange bar across the top, notating that the device needs to sync.

Adjusting Sync Policies

Show TPO makes adjusting Sync Policies for the device you are using easy. Simply select the current quality icon in the top right of the photo or folder and you will be given the option to adjust the Sync Policy for that selected media.

By selecting the icon on a selected media (photo or video) you can adjust the Sync Policy for that specific media. By selecting the icon on a folder, you will be adjusting the Sync Policy for all enclosed media for that folder.

Additionally, you can adjust the Sync Policy simultaneously for multiple files by multi-selecting them. You cannot multi-select folders.

Mixed Sync Policies

Mixed Sync Policies, distinguished with the above icon, can be found specifically on folders. This icon notates that a folder has media inside with differing Sync Policies. For example, your folder may have a photo set to want Previews but a video set to want Originals. The folder containing those files will have the star icon to designate this.

Disable Show TPO

  1. Open Mylio.
  2. Select the View menu at the top right of the center panel.
  3. Toggle off ‘Show TPO’.
