Understanding Flutter

Flutter allows you to see which photos are in a folder or album and easily set the cover of that folder or album. It is also a great way to show off your photos!

When using Flutter, you will see the contents of the currently selected folder. For instance, if you have a folder called “Animals” with four folders inside of it, using Flutter on “Animals” will display the cover images of the 4 child folders, not the contents of the child folders.

Flutter on a Touch Screen Device

  1. Locate the folder or album you would like to see the images of.
  2. Swipe from right to left over the folder or album to see the contents.
  3. If you find a photo you would like to use as a cover photo, tap the pin icon that appears on the photo.

Flutter on a Computer

Using a mouse with a traditional scroll wheel:

  1. Locate the folder or album you would like to see the images of.
  2. Hold the Shift key on the keyboard.
  3. Scroll up with your mouse hovered on the folder or album.
  4. If you find a photo you would like to use as a cover photo, click the pin icon that appears on the photo.
Note:   If using an Apple magic mouse, touch trackpad, or similar tool that uses gestures to scroll, you do not need to hold the shift key. Instead, follow instructions for touch screen devices.
